Yes, it’s that time of year again, snowflakes, family gatherings, fireplaces lit, feasts, and giving thanks. It also means it’s time for many Winter Dance Party shows in some very cold places! Check our schedule page for a venue near you.

Coming up very soon is our return to the Fox Theatre in Visalia, CA on Dec 7th. It’s one of those beautiful old movie theatres they made long ago and now features live music. Great place. If you wanna be part of a filmed presentation I highly recommend an upcoming special Buddy Symphony show we’ll be doing at the Turlock auditorium this Dec 13th. This show will feature all of Holly’s orchestral songs plus some new arrangements and of course all of his rocking hits. Sorry, no Bopper or Ritchie for this presentation but the good news if you can’t make this show we hope to have a DVD available from this sometime in the not too distant future. This will indeed be a very fun night. Bring your tux if you want! December 21st will find us at the Thunder Valley Resort near Sacramento, CA for the very first time.

NYE will find us in Billings, MT at the gorgeous Alberta Bair Theatre and will be a great way to bring in the happy new year!

I’d like to take this opportunity to mention how thankful we all were for the many heartfelt condolences for Jay Richardson’s passing on August 21st and I know his family appreciated it as well. It was a tough time for us all but we’ve been doing the best we can to carry on. If you for some reason hadn’t heard this unfortunate news on our facebook site or your own news outlet its still not too late to send a nice card to his family at Bopper Music, P.O. Box 6926, Katy, TX 77491. Ray and I both got to visit him at the hospital two weeks prior to his passing and his friend Randy Steele delivered a great memorial service I was able to attend.

We’re now featuring Linwood Sasser as the Big Bopper. Linwood had been Jay’s sub for the past two years for shows he couldn’t make due to illness and he does a very good job. He’s very respectful of Jay and his father’s legacy and is an all around great guy. Linwood has appeared in many TV commercials and some films as well. He’s greatly looking forward to meeting you all and entertaining you as well.
